What does "best over/under 2.5 odds" mean on simplyodds?

For each fixture, we compare the decimal price for that market across all 10 books on our plan and surface the longest one. The book offering that price is shown next to the number.

How often do prices update?

Every 25 seconds via a licensed odds feed. Stale prices are hidden rather than shown.

Why is the spread between books so wide on some matches?

Smaller books and crypto-first sportsbooks often lag the sharp move on niche markets. On regulated retail books, margin is higher to begin with. The combination produces 3-8% gaps on most fixtures.

Best over/under 2.5 goals odds

Over/under 2.5 is the main goal line in football and the most-traded totals market on every book. On the 10 books we track, the best Over 2.5 price beats the fair line on about 30% of fixtures during a typical week. The crypto books are usually 4-8 cents longer on Overs in high-scoring leagues; the regulated books are sharper on Unders.
